  Golden LivingCenter–The Cedars celebrated spring with several events. On Thursday, April 1, at 3:30 p.m., thirty Delta Gamma Sorority Sisters visited residents to help dye and decorate Easter eggs.

• Spring Egg Hunt With Kindercare

  We have begun a new relationship with our friends from Kindercare. The daycare center is right behind Golden LivingCenter–The Cedars and we have located a footpath and bridge available to use so that the children can take a walking field trip to visit us monthly. Their first visit was Friday, April 2. They joined us for a spring egg hunt. There were 29, 3–4 year olds who spent the morning in the dining room and outside in the courtyard. We hid 750 eggs and they found every one. We look forward to their next visit in May.

• Residents Make Easter Baskets

  Our residents made 12 Easter baskets for the children who are inpatients at Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center in Charlottesville. We delivered the baskets to the staff at KCRC on Friday, April 2, so that the Easter Bunny could deliver them to the children on April 4, Easter Sunday.
