Tough Times and Big Opportunities
Nov. 01, 2011
Hello to the Twin Rivers Community! My name is Ernie Gershone and I am the new Executive Director (ED) at Twin Rivers. During the past 6-plus years, I have been the ED at Golden Living in Delano and am very excited about transferring to Anoka. I am a native of the Twin Cities, growing up mostly in St. Louis Park. I graduated from the University of MN in health care administration and have worked in this field over 30 years. Fern and I have been married for 28 years and we have three kids, two grandkids and our dog, Oliver. Fern and I live in Plymouth with Oliver, while all the kids are out of the house and graduated from college!
I love working in long-term care administration and see great opportunities to help Twin Rivers continue its important role as a provider of rehabilitation and long-term care in this area. Times are tough: Medicare payments have recently been reduced, regulations continue to increase and the recession drags on. Yet, the staff here have a marvelous attitude, a strong commitment to quality and a desire for continuous improvement. We look forward to serving the greater community and appreciate all the wonderful support. I'll look forward to meeting you!
Ernie Gershone, Executive Director.

Walk! With Aegis
Nov. 01, 2011
Our Aegis therapy staff held a Walk! with Aegis program the first week of October. The program was initiated to make residents throughout the facility more aware of the services offered by our Aegis team.
On Oct. 5, staff assisted residents with a walk around the neighborhood. Although it was a bit cold, the residents braved the elements and enjoyed seeing the area trees and their fall colors.
