About Our LivingCenter
Golden LivingCenter - Doylestown is a leader in skilled nursing and rehabilitation that provides individual attention and commitment to the ongoing needs and healthcare goals of our patients and residents. Our dedicated nursing staff, many of whom have devoted their entire career to working in sub-acute and long term care, provide quality medical care and emotional support to people in need of skilled rehabilitation, complex wound care, peritoneal or hemodialysis, chronic disease management or long-term care.
We offer registered nurse supervision 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and weekly wound assessment and treatment by a specialized wound care physician. In addition, we offer a full time, on site Adult Health and Gerontological Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.
Our rehabilitation services are patient-centered and designed to increase functionality and patient comfort. Therapy is provided by highly trained physical, occupational and speech therapists that assist in the management of complex chronic disease, post-operative joint replacement therapy, vestibular/balance disorders, cognitive function, memory enhancement, and aphasia or dysphagia. In addition, a physiatrist (rehabilitation physician) follows each patient.
We are proud to offer Freedom through Functionality (FTF), powered by Aegis Therapies. This proprietary program combines the benefits of modified Nautilus® equipment with exercise programs developed by Aegis Therapy experts in geriatric rehabilitation. It is modeled after clinical studies that show the most effective way to increase independence and function in older people is through a regular program of strength-building exercise.
Aegis also brings us Geriatric Enhanced Modalities (GEM), a specially designed treatment program to improve range of motion at specific joints, reduce pain and edema, treat wounds, improve muscle strength and treat incontinence.
In 2012, we are undergoing renovations to make our facility more beautiful and home-like for patient and families. This includes new carpet, televisions, paint, window treatments and shower room.
Recreation is an important part of life. At Golden LivingCenter - Doylestown, we take care to provide meaningful activities including: daily groups, pet therapy, spiritual services, live music and twice monthly outings. Hair stylist and barber services are also available weekly.
