About Our LivingCenter
Excellence in healthcare is the hallmark of Golden LivingCenter – Uniontown. We offer skilled nursing services, long-term therapy and short-term therapy as an outpatient. Additionally, if your loved one shows signs of Alzheimer's disease, our trained, experienced caregivers can help.
Our rehabilitation services truly differentiate us—they are available seven days a week. We offer a specially designed proprietary strength-building program, called “Freedom Through Functionality” (FTF), powered by Aegis Therapies. Golden Rehab Outcomes show that patients treated in facilities with the FTF program experience a 30 percent reduction in their risk for falls, as well as an increased ability to function without pain. Patients treated with FTF, compared to those who were not, experienced an increased ability to function and sleep without disruption, as well as improved dignity, social participation and overall quality of life.
Another Aegis program we are proud to feature at Uniontown is Geriatric Enhanced Modalities (GEM). This program helps patients with reduced range of motion issues, pain, edema, wounds, muscular weakness and incontinence. GEM features electrical stimulation, ultrasound and short-wave diathermy utilizing detailed protocols designed specifically for the geriatric population.
We always have at least one registered nurse on duty and we have two certified wound care nurses. Our goal is to provide compassionate nursing care in a clean, comfortable setting where your loved one will feel at home. Our certified nursing assistants are trained to provide consistent care, and our professional nursing staff meets with patients regularly to discuss ongoing needs.
We recently remodeled Golden LivingCenter – Uniontown. These renovations include freshly painted rooms and bathrooms in soothing blue and green; a beautiful new floor in the dining room; new handrails; and new accessories and hardware throughout our facility.
Patients and residents enjoy enhanced dining with a full breakfast buffet every day and restaurant-style service. For recreation, we have music, art, games (of course, bingo!) and church services.
We are proud to be a 2010 recipient of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) / National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) Silver Quality Award.
