About Our LivingCenter

Golden LivingCenter – Shafter is a skilled nursing facility located 18 miles northwest of Bakersfield, CA, in the small town of Shafter.

Our staff understands that independence is one of the most important things you can provide to your loved one, so we offer healthcare options to fit your loved one’s needs. We care for those who are recovering from an illness or surgery and want to return home quickly, as well as those who require long-term nursing care. Our services include physical, speech and occupational therapy, wound care and IV therapy.

In addition to offering quality long-term care, we also offer short-term assistance for those recovering from illness, injury or surgery, as well as those in the intermediate stages of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Short- and long-term residents and patients may enjoy a variety of on-site recreational and social activities, such as spiritual services and monthly outings.

Residents of our Alzheimer's Care Units will experience a beautifully designed and secure area that helps manage the behaviors associated with dementia and maintain cognitive and physical functionality, so the individual can live with respect and dignity.
